alrighty. let me just give you the low down on my school (well my grade). I don’t really consider there being a “popular” group in my grade. I go to a relatively small school and my grade is kinda small, so everyone is in a sorta distinct “group.” A lot of people hate me and think i’m annoying, but i’m kinda one of those people (well often times i’m forced to be) who will strike up a conversation with anyone. so to answer your question: no. i am not.
